Let's Chat About...Welcome!

An Introduction to my new Blog Page

A little about myself and our mission with this blog! My husband's name is Randy, and we build on home on RedTail Ranch in 2008. Together we have 9 adults, the last of them just turned 18 and is a Senior in high school. Our current count to date is 7 grandchildren, but that number is sure to rise! We love living the country life and as our lifestyle transitions from an empty nest to a brood of grandchildren, this lifestyle fits us well.

This blog is intended to take a deep dive into topics surrounding country living and rural experiences. The goal is to be interactive with our viewers to gain their insight and advise. We want your angle!

The name "RedTail Ranch" comes from the abundance of RedTail Hawks spotted in the area. We also chose red as the color of our home so that contributes to the title as well. This property has been many things over the years, including raising livestock such as chickens, cattle, pigs, sheep and a horse. We also have had a large garden and I was instrumental in getting our local Farmer's Market started. Randy and I both enjoy the outdoors and observing all the wildlife this place has to offer. Raising our children in the country has always been important to us and we believe the experiences gained will last a lifetime.

Some of my hobbies include gardening, canning, outdoor motorsports, nature hikes, cross country skiing, chopping firewood, bonfires, card playing, traveling, reading, writing and more... I have always enjoyed writing but have never had the time to pursue it as anything more than a pastime. Now I am taking this opportunity to spread my wings and give blogging a try!

There will be a new post on this page each week featuring a different topic. We look forward to your feedback and getting to know our readers!

We want to hear from you...what's your angle>
